HSE Officer

Guildhall is recruiting for a HSE Officer to join a leading international engineering and construction contractor in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site health, safety, and environmental activities across major high-rise construction projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, and international safety standards. The role requires strong experience in construction safety management, risk prevention, training, and stakeholder coordination.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and implement project HSE programmes, safety procedures, fire prevention plans, and site safety initiatives in accordance with company standards and UAE regulations.

• Monitor daily site activities, conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and ensure subcontractors and site personnel comply with approved HSE procedures and safe working practices.

• Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports, maintain accurate safety records, manage documentation, and ensure all safety activities are properly tracked and filed.

• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, first aid awareness sessions, and safety seminars while promoting a strong safety culture across all project teams.

• Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, plant departments, and site security teams to implement corrective actions, improve safety performance, and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or recognised HSE qualification from an accredited safety organisation.

• Minimum of 10 years’ overall experience, including at least 5 years as a Safety Officer within the construction industry, with proven experience on high-rise building projects.

• Certified qualifications in health and safety, fire safety, scaffolding, rigging and lifting operations, and valid First Aid certification.

• Strong knowledge of construction HSE regulations, risk assessments, safety audits, incident reporting, emergency procedures, and safety management systems.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and report-writing skills, with the ability to conduct safety training, work within multicultural teams, and communicate effectively with all levels of site personnel.
