This role owns the website as a product and content as a growth channel. Strategy, SEO/GEO, and development sit under one accountable lead instead of splitting across separate owners. You'll direct the content writer, web developer, and designer as your execution team, and partner closely with Marketing Intelligence & Ops to keep content and web performance tied to pipeline, not just traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Website strategy: Own the site as a conversion and narrative asset. Information architecture, page strategy, and roadmap prioritization, not just maintenance requests.
• SEO & GEO: Own organic search performance and how content surfaces in AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) as those become real discovery channels alongside traditional search.
• Content development: Set content strategy and editorial priorities across the site, blog, and gated assets. Direct the content writer's output against that strategy.
• Web development oversight: Direct the web developer's priorities: page builds, technical SEO fixes, site performance. Translate business priorities into a build queue.
• Design coordination: Direct the designer's priorities for web and content assets, and coordinate with the separate Creative function so brand visual standards don't drift apart.
• Data partnership: Work with Marketing Intelligence & Ops to instrument the site and content properly. This role owns the strategy and roadmap; Ops owns the underlying data infrastructure and attribution.
• Leadership: Full people management accountability for the content writer, web developer, and designer: priorities, growth, and performance.

What Success Looks Like:

• Organic traffic and ranking performance on category and product terms
• Visibility and citation rate in AI answer engines (GEO)
• Content and web assisted pipeline, tracked jointly with Marketing Intelligence & Ops
• Site conversion rate on key journeys, not just traffic volume
• On time delivery against the web development roadmap

What You Bring:

• 8+ years in content, SEO, or digital marketing, with direct experience owning a company website as a strategic asset
• Working knowledge of technical SEO and emerging GEO practices
• Comfortable directing a developer's priorities without being one. Enough technical fluency to scope work and push back on timelines credibly
• Experience managing a small cross functional team (writer, developer, designer)
• Cybersecurity, SaaS, or B2B tech background preferred

Scope:

This role owns content, SEO/GEO, and web strategy end to end. It does not own PR or media relations. That gap stays open separately and isn't absorbed by this hire.
