Business Development Manager (m/f/d)

To further strengthen our growth and unlock new business potential, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, strategically minded and persuasive personality to join us as soon as possible as a Business Development Manager (m/f/d). In this role, you will actively help expand our business activities with market insight, strong negotiation skills and enthusiasm for innovative energy solutions.

Tasks

• Identifying, evaluating, qualifying and developing new business opportunities in the fields of hydrogen, energy storage and renewable energies
• Identifying and developing new customer, partner and project structures as well as maintaining long-term stakeholder relationships, including the development of formal partnerships
• Analysing markets, customer needs, competition and regulatory conditions to derive concrete growth opportunities and actions
• Developing go-to-market, partnership and market-entry strategies in national and international environments
• Supporting the acquisition, conceptualisation and commercial development of hydrogen and storage projects
• Preparing business cases, decision-making materials as well as market and profitability analyses
• Preparing and conducting customer and partner meetings, presentations and negotiations
• Working closely with Engineering, Project Management and the Management Board to implement new business approaches
• Representing RCT GH at conferences and trade fairs

Requirements

• A completed degree in industrial engineering, energy technology, mechanical engineering, chemical or process engineering or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in business development, strategic sales, partner management or project business, ideally in the energy sector, hydrogen, gas process plants or comparable fields
• Strong understanding of complex sales cycles, capital equipment and/or process technology sales
• Sound understanding of energy markets, business models and commercial and legal interrelationships
• Interest in hydrogen technologies, renewable energies and the energy transition
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong analytical skills and a high level of initiative
• Confident presence, strong communication skills and negotiation ability
• Independent, structured and goal-oriented way of working
• Business-fluent German and English skills as well as willingness to travel. Additional languages are a plus
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools
