The Role

We are looking for a South Africa-based Business Development Coordinator to join a growing remote team. This is a hands-on commercial role - you will be generating new business, managing pipelines, progressing opportunities and keeping things moving. The benchmark for this hire is high. The current Ops Coordinator drives 30%+ year-on-year growth and brings order to a fast-moving operation with minimal direction. We are looking for the same.

What You Will Be Doing

• Prospecting, outreach and pipeline management - identifying and progressing new business opportunities
• Managing CRM records, follow-ups and deal tracking with precision
• Preparing bids, proposals and client onboarding materials
• Communicating directly with clients, crews and suppliers on behalf of the business
• Supporting operational coordination as needed - this is a hybrid role and operational awareness matters
• Reporting on pipeline activity, conversion rates and commercial output

The Environment

The business is led by a high-energy, fast-moving founder. The team operates in shifts covering 6am to 10pm. You will be expected to be responsive and proactive within your shift window. This is not a quiet desk job. It is an opportunity for genuine commercial responsibility and real ownership from day one.

What This Role Is Not

• It is not a traditional sales role with a long ramp-up and hand-holding
• It is not a pure admin or support position - commercial output is the primary measure of success

- It is not 9 to 5, Monday to Friday

• It is not for candidates who need constant direction or reassurance to get moving

Remuneration

R45 000 per month | Contractor basis | Remote, South Africa

RequirementsWhat We Are Looking For

• 3+ years in business development, sales coordination or a commercial operations role
• A proven track record of contributing to revenue growth - we want numbers, not job descriptions
• Strong CRM and pipeline management experience
• A confident, independent communicator who can hold a client relationship without supervision
• Comfortable working in a founder-led environment where priorities shift quickly
• Experience in events, hospitality, entertainment or high-volume sectors is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with business tools - CRM, project management, accounting software
• Based in South Africa, with a reliable home working setup and the ability to work within a shift window between 6am and 10pm
